What’s a quote that perfectly describes your outlook on life?
My Philosophy

Live Life King Size: Explore, Experience & Enjoy

“Live Life King Size. Explore, Experience & Enjoy.”

This simple phrase beautifully sums up my outlook on life.

For me, “King Size” does not mean luxury, extravagance or materialistic pleasures. It means living life fully—travelling, exploring new places, photographing nature, staying fit, spending quality time with family, learning new things, enjoying simple pleasures and making every phase of life meaningful.

Life is not merely about reaching a destination. It is about enjoying the journey along the way.

“The purpose of life is not to arrive safely at death, but to live fully along the way.”

Another quote that perfectly reflects my philosophy is:

“Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.”

These thoughts closely reflect the way I try to approach life. I believe in continuing to learn, exploring new places and experiences, staying curious, nurturing relationships, enjoying photography and nature, and remaining physically active.

What Does “Live Life King Size” Really Mean?

At first glance, the phrase “Live Life King Size” may sound like it is all about materialistic pleasures, luxury and comfort. But that is not what it means to me.

For me, living life king size means making the most of what life has to offer.

It could be travelling to a new destination and experiencing its culture. It could be spending time in nature with a camera in hand. It could be enjoying a game of sport, learning something new, having a meaningful conversation with a friend, or simply sitting with family and enjoying a cup of tea.

Sometimes, the smallest moments create the biggest memories.

I also believe in living with mindfulness—being present in the moment rather than constantly worrying about the past or being anxious about the future.

We Can Control Only the Present

I once attended a Satsang, where the Swamiji explained this philosophy through a very simple and beautiful example.

Imagine that you are making a garland of marigold flowers.

You pick up a flower, put it through the needle and then string it onto the thread. Once the flower becomes part of the garland, you cannot take it back and change what you have already done.

That is the past.

You cannot undo it.

Now think about the next flower. You have no idea what kind of flower you will pick up. It may be beautiful and fresh, or it may not be as good as you expected.

That is the future.

You don’t really know what is going to come next, and you have limited control over it.

But there is one thing you can control—the flower that is currently in your hand.

You can decide whether to put it through the needle or keep it aside.

That flower represents the present moment.

The message is simple yet profound:

We cannot change the past, and we cannot completely control the future. The only thing truly within our control is the present.

Make the Present Meaningful

This thought has stayed with me.

We often spend too much time thinking about what has already happened or worrying about what might happen tomorrow. In doing so, we sometimes forget to enjoy what is happening today.

The past has already become a part of our story. The future will unfold in its own time.

But the present is in our hands.

So why not make it meaningful?

Enjoy the journey. Travel when you can. Explore new places. Stay curious. Spend time with people who matter. Take care of your health. Follow your passions. Learn something new. Appreciate nature. Capture beautiful moments through photography.

And most importantly, find happiness in the small moments of everyday life.

Live Fully, One Moment at a Time

For me, living life king size is not about having more; it is about experiencing more.

It is about living with curiosity, gratitude and enthusiasm.

It is about giving importance to health, relationships, experiences, learning and happiness rather than simply accumulating material possessions.

Life is precious and unpredictable. We don’t know how many chapters are still waiting to be written.

So, let us make the chapter we are living today a good one.

Live life to the fullest. Find joy in the little things. Invest time in your health and nurture your relationships. Explore. Experience. Learn. Photograph. Travel. Smile.

And above all, enjoy the journey called life.

Thank you, my dear readers, for stopping by and sharing this thought with me.

Stay happy and keep smiling! 😊
