Witness the First Flag Hoisting of Independent India

Daily writing prompt
If you could go back and witness any historical event, which one would you pick?
Historic City Hall with flags, crowd, and banner reading CITY HALL - JULY 1, 1867
A period-style civic ceremony gathers outside City Hall beneath flags and a July 1, 1867 banner.

I would go back and witness the first flag hoisting of Independent India and join the celebrations at Red Fort, New Delhi.

The first national flag of independent India was officially hoisted at 5.30 AM on the 15th August 1947, at Firt St. George in Chennai, followed by public ceremonies in New Delhi and the iconic at the Red Fort.

What a moment it could be. Such a long fight for independence finally the moment of dream come true. Thoroughly emotional moment for the people of India. I would love to witness such an historical moment.

Even today, when we listen to the stories of freedom fighters, the struggle makes us sentimental and brings tears.

Witnessing such an iconic hostorical moment would be a great chance.
