VUCA world

Is your life today what you pictured a year ago?

What next

We live in VUCA world. This is commonly used word in corporate.

VUCA stands for

Volatility

Uncertainty

Complexity

Ambiguity

There is huge uncertainty in our lives today. Due to global connectivity and interdependence, the complexity has increased. Multiple choices for decision making and overload of the information makes the selection process difficult.

Tools like Google and ChatGPT are helping us to bring clarity but we are not sure about our own requirements.

Did you imagine that a Volcano irruption in Ethiopia will lead to bad air quality and few flight cancellations. Or the Indigo crises will disrupt all our plans of vacations or other professional travel.

With so much of uncertainty and ambiguity, it is difficult to imagine my life after one year. So honestly I don’t know how it is after one year. I can only say that I am happy and contented like I was one year back.

I never thought that I will buy a big house one year back but we did buy new house. I had never planned to start a consultancy firm, so all this happened in the moment.

In nutshell, live the present moment happily. Trust god that whatever he offers to you as destiny, accept it with this belief that it is planned for your betterment.

Best way to tackle VUCA is Mindfulness and simple living.

  1. Mukund sir … that’s what people don’t understand as the ambitions are high and emotions low. But what should matter right now should be – I, our family and people who matter! But alas, for people the circle starts at I and ends at I.
Let’s keep doing our bit and rest MURARI will handle

  2. Very beautifully written, Sir. This truly captures the reality of living in a VUCA world, where certainty is a luxury we no longer have. Your examples make it so relatable and grounded in real life. I especially resonated with the thought that while we may not know what the future holds, choosing contentment in the present makes all the difference. The emphasis on mindfulness, faith, and simple living as anchors in uncertain times is both calming and inspiring. Thank you for sharing such honest reflections—this was a meaningful read. 🙏😊
