Evening Plans: Preparing for a Family Vacation

This evening is going to be special for me. We will pack our bags and prepare for the travel to family vacation. I am thrilled and excited about the journey. We are heading towards the picturesque location in south India called Madikeri,coorg. And the icing on the cake will be that my daughter will join us from Bangalore. Next four days would be spent with the beautiful nature in the company of loved ones.

Normally, before leaving to any such unkown location, I do recce of that place to define the itinerary. Earlier the recce was done by asking people who visited the place before, now it is possible to do recce online or virtual. This helps a lot in proper planning of your days in the new location.

It is important to know about Dos and Donts of the place you visit. You should have proper knowledge of the place you are visiting. Right from weather forecast to famous sights and the special cuisine of that place should be known in advance. This helps to spend your time well and it also safguards you from the fraudsters.

We will be busy packing the clothes, daily needs and required medicines for the tour. I cannot forget my camera gear. I have various lenses available for different genres of photography but I will only carry one travel lens which is suitable for Landscape and waterfalls.

Another important thing to carry, will be all electronic gadgets & chargers. This is the need of the hour.

Normally I spend my evening on the court, playing Table Tennis. After playing Table Tennis I go for vegetable shopping. We have vegetable market close to my house. Every day we buy fresh vegetables instead of byuing in bulk and preserving them in the Regfrigerator for a week. The vegetable market also sells beautiful & colourful flowers.

We partake the dinner together and then go for a walking stroll. Post the walk, it is time for book reading and then going to bed. This is the usual routing for me in the evenings.
