Red Flags in Personality: Signs to Watch For

I don’t like two faceed people. It’s hard to decide which face to believe.

Someone who is two-faced is not sincere, saying unpleasant things about you to other people while seeming to be pleasant when they are with you: I don’t trust these people and it’s difficult to deal with them because you have to be extremely carefull with such people. You never know, when they will ditch you.

Beware of the person who masks their intentions, for their truth is but a facade.Two-faced individuals craft intricate illusions to conceal their realities. The tongue may speak sugar-coated words, but the heart reveals bitter truths.

Actually there are many personality traits which could be considered as Red Flag but recognising them is as tough as dealing with them. In our day to day life either in the workplace or in our personal life we encounter with such personalities and deal with them as a routine. However people management or connecting with people is an art and it has to be mastered over the period of time.

Fellow bloggers have explored the other personalities like Dishonest, Deceptive, Liars, Short tempered or highly egoist or Narcissistic. However we must deliberate on how to deal with these personalities.

We cannot ignore the fact that our understanding of someone can be erroneous because it is influenced by past experience or the preoccupation of the mind. Many time we label the people based on their body language or their external appearance. This happens naturally but we should avoid labelling them based on their appearance or their body language or based on their voice tone etc. our perceptions can be partially correct or fully wrong.

How to deal with different personalities

It is not a good idea to change our behaviour based upon the personality of the other person you are dealing with. In my opinion you should follow your religion of humanity and kindness irrespective of the other person’s behaviour. I have experienced that the other person’s reaction depends upon your actions. If you are good with people you, they will be good with you, whatever personality trait they poses.

I can share my experience of dealing with one person who was underworld don. I was housing society chairman and he was owner of one apartment. His appearance was like a tough & arrognat person, but he was seriously ill with terminal decease. I was not aware of his past. I gave him concession for the payment of monthly charges. I also helped him to get proper medical help when needed and suggested him for daily prayers to the god he believes. Actually he had lost hopes for his life but I assured him that he will surely recover from the illness and live normal life.

Surprisingly after the period of 6 months, he came over to my house on the first floor walking alone and brought some sweets for me. He cried in front of me and said that I am more than god for him and only because of me he is got second life. And that time he narrated the story of his past and all the illegal activities he did. Till then, I was not aware of his past. I could not believe that such a strong and powerful person crying in front of me with folded hands. I was so humbled and told him that this is the blessings of god for you, I acted only as a mediator. Now I request you to help others, be kind and stop doing any illegal activities. He promised me that he will follow my suggestions.

The point here is , follow your heart, be human to people. Do not label the people based on their appearance and change your behaviour.
