ESG & CSR

Daily writing prompt
Scour the news for an entirely uninteresting story. Consider how it connects to your life. Write about that.
Times Of India article

ESG & CSR are not so interesting topics for general public. But for me it has strong connection with my Professionalcareer & Personal interests. I have worked extensively on ESG & CSR during my service. Post retirement I completed my Masters course on ESG. I am nature lover and active in Bosch CSR activities even post retirement. I would post here my story connected to above news article.

Background of ESG & CSR

In today’s interconnected world, stakeholders – including consumers, employees and investors are increasingly prioritising the organisations that contribute positively tp society and the Environment. Environment Social & Governance ( ESG ) and Corporate Social Responsibility ( CSR ) initiatives are fast becoming essential strategies for busines.

The article published in the Times of India daily newspaper does not catch the attention of anyone but it connects with me directly. Last two years of my retirement, I spent most of my time coordinating the ESG projects and CSR work.

I have designed and implemented the water & energy conservation projects. Formulated the ESG strategy for the organisation and prepared the roadmap for next 5 years. This was partly my job and partly my interest.

I was part of a large CSR project of building fully equipped Primary Health Centre for the community. This was later declared as a Model PHC.

The globally acclaimed project was building a Bio-diversity park. This was my dream project and it was built with love and passion. Now it is the best project in the vicinity.

In this way, the news article resonated with me.

Thanks for stopping by and reading my blog post.

Stay happy and keep smiling 😊
