Most of the people live their life to satisfy others. For every decision they make they seek approval of others.

What people will think

Every choice in life they make based what people think. I have seen many people making their choices of clothes depending upon what will be liked by others. Even the food they order in any restaurant will be people’s choice.

People pleaser

Don’t try to be people pleaser. It’s not possible to please everyone. Your life is your own and live it with your choices. Don’t care for what people will say.

Relationship decisions

Even the families make their decisions under societal pressure. In the process many times you spoil the lives of your dear ones. Actually no one is bothered about your life and they have least interest in what you do. But people have this bad habit of poking their nose into your life and making decisions on your behalf. Sometimes people take liberty to enforce their opinions on you. This is embarrassing and if you are of submissive nature then you regret all your life.

Drive your life your way

Listen to your inner self and take your life decisions. Own the complete responsibility of your decisions and face the consequences. It is easy to shift blame of failure on others but that will never lead to sustainable development.

Do your homework first

For driving your life you need to do your homework. You need to have clarity on what are your life goals are and what is your risk appetite. This helps in making right choices in life.

Farmer & Donkey story

One day one farmer and his son were travelling to another village from their hometown with their donkey. On the way some people commented that what foolish guys they are that the donkey is walking along without any load and the old farmer is walking. Immediately the boy upon listening to villagers said to the farmer that he should sit on donkeys back and he will walk. Next village people said what a cruel father that the boy is walking and father is riding on donkey. The farmer said to his son to ride the donkey and he started walking. Again in next village people said what a cruel son he is enjoying donkey ride and the father is walking in hot son. And now they were not sure what to do. This is the fate of the people who seek public acceptance for their choices.
