Write about your first computer.
Quite a nostalgic question ☺️. Our generation has witnessed multiple technological innovations few of them disruptive too.
I have worked with all generations of computers right from huge computer in room with punched cards as input device to a latest generation of modern laptops. We have surely struggled to cope up with such technological advances. But we survived them all and have adopted them in our day to day lives.
I still remember the first desktop computer arrived in our company. The operating system was DOS and the working software’s were dBase, Lotus and word. Working with huge data was a challenge with dBase but it was fun that time.
It was not everybody’s cup of cake. I had completed computer certificate course that time may be in the year 1988 so I was authorised to use this desktop officially. If I can recollect, I developed a batch file to go to the menu from dos prompt. The menu used to facilitate the toggle between Lotus and dBase and word. Now it looks like the history.
And now in no time we moved from desktop to laptops to tablets to powerful mobile phones.

I love it. My first was actually maybe e a think called a colleco vision that took cassette tapes. Oh when I got the Tandy Computer I really thought I was something. Then one of my buddies got a 286 that had dos 1.0 and he thought he was awesome. I hated that thing although I mastered Dos and a few languages after up c+ and html. Heck when I graduated high school they were still teaching us cobalt like it was going to ever be anything again. At 7 I had to set up all the new IBM 386’s for the Air Force base my dad ran because nobody knew even what to do with one. I had to show them that then I installed civilization 2 on it and then they all got in trouble for playing the game instead of working Good times, Good Times.
