What skills or lessons have you learned recently?

I am learning the new genre of photography that is Architecture and Heritage Photography.
Architecture and heritage photography documents, preserves, and showcases buildings, from modern designs to ancient monuments. This genre requires understanding history, appreciating design, and skillful use of light and composition to reveal a structure’s story and beauty, whether it’s a grand temple or a colonial-era fort.
Today’s day was spent in Lucknow trying my hand at this genre of photography.
Lucknow in a day
Welcome to Lucknow, the timeless City of Nawabs. Rich in history, culture, and culinary heritage, this city offers an immersive experience even if you have just one day to explore. Whether you’re a history enthusiast, a foodie, or a leisure traveler, this city will always offer you great opportunities.
Bara Imambara, one of the most iconic monuments in Lucknow. This 18th-century marvel, built by Nawab Asaf-ud-Daula, is an architectural wonder without any beams supporting its massive central hall.

Today we visited Bara Imam Bara, Chota Imam Bara, Rumi Darwaza and Bhul Bhulaiya. Great heritage sites.

No visit to Lucknow is complete without tasting its legendary cuisine. Went to Tunday Kababi in Aminabad for melt-in-your-mouth Galouti Kebabs. Being vegetarian I did not taste the Kebabs but visited other places.

The tour ends with famous Sharma Ji ki Chai.

The city weather is quite pleasant with morning fog.
