Do you need time?

ए ज़िन्दगी क्यों मुझे और वख्त देना चाहती हो

पहले ही बहुत ज़ख़्म सह चुका हूँ

अब और सहा नहीं जायेगा

वही रोज़ की कश्मकश

एक आँख आसु और एक आँख में ख़ुशी

कभी दूर से ख़ुशी का पैग़ाम आता है

तो कभी नज़दीक से तकलीफ़ देह ख़बर

जितनी ख़ुशी इतना ही ग़म देती है तू

ज़िंदगी क्यों और वख्त देना चाहती है तू

दिन शुरू होता है कभी उत्साह से भरा हुआ

खत्म होता हैं दुख दर्द से भरा हुआ

ये कैसी कश्मकश है ज़िंदगी तेरी

क्यों और वख्त देना चाहती है तू

बहुत हसीन ख़्वाब देखे थे

कुछ सजा दिए दिल में तो कुछ भुला दिए

अगर देना चाहती है थोड़ा वख्त तो

थोड़े ख़ुशी के पल देना और

कुछ हसीन लम्हे देना यादों के लिए

गुज़र लूँ बची ज़िंदगी

सुनहरी यादों को लेकर

कुछ खट्टी कुछ मीठी

I am not a poet neither a writer. I wrote this in spurt of moment how it came to my mind. Apologies to my blogger friends Aparna Mahananda and Kaushal who are great writers and poets. Forgive me if you don’t like this.
