A day well spent

My birthday celebration

Today is my birthday and I would like to share with you, how I spent the day.

The day started with blessings from my father in law, who stays with me. Then the call from my daughters. My daughter was asking me what gift I wanted and I said day starting with your call is a great gift for me. But they insisted that we want to gift you something. Then I said a lovely hug from both of you. They said papa you are being emotional now. That’s true, post 60, I became little emotional.

Then we visited the temple to get the blessings of almighty. Thanked him for the beautiful life and strength to sail through.

Then I joined my friends for the Misal party. Our retiree’s group celebrated my birthday. Few pics from the party

Then we visited a school near Nashik in adivasi area. Spent some time with the children and gifted them colour pens, sketch book and some sweet. Donated large Map and Globe to the school. I can’t forget the excitement on the faces of children when they got their gifts.

Evening will be spent with family. May be some outing or dinner with wifey 😊

If you ask me, how do feel now, my answer could be “I feel contented and happy. Fully with whatever god has given me”

I would like to thank all my WP subscribers and fellow bloggers. Every day I learn new insights from your posts. Thank you so much 🙏

Till retirement the goal was limited to Me n my family. Now the society and community is included .

  1. Hello Mukund sir,
What a truly wonderful way to celebrate your birthday! Thank you so much for sharing such a heartwarming account of your day. It sounds absolutely beautifully spent and filled with joy, gratitude, and meaningful connections.
It’s so touching to hear about your day starting with the blessings from your father-in-law and the loving calls from your daughters. That moment where you told them their call was the best gift, and then asked for a hug—that truly speaks volumes about the richness of the relationship you share. There’s no age limit on being a little emotional, sir; it just means your heart is full! The feeling of being “contented and happy” is the greatest achievement of all, and it’s clear from your actions today that you’ve earned every bit of that feeling.
Wishing you an evening full of love with your wife, and a year ahead that is just as meaningful.
Stay happy, keep smiling, and thank you again for the inspiration.
    Happy birthday once again 🌟🎉
    Aparna
