Elephant Bath

Picturesque Friday

————————————————————

An elephant bath involves showering elephants with water to clean their skin and allow keepers to check their bodies, or visitors participating in a mud and water experience with elephants, often in a tourism context. While bathing is important for an elephant’s skincare and mental well-being, the ethical considerations of tourist-involved elephant bathing are important.

I have seen this elephant bath at Dubare Elephant Camp, Madikeri, Coorg in Karnataka. It is fun watching them when they enjoy playing in water.

These are few pics from my visit to Dubare Elephant Camp.

Happy weekend 😊
