Why Morning Cycling is My Favorite Time of Day

Daily writing prompt
What’s your favorite time of day?

The time you spend with yourself is the best time of the day. For me there are few occasions during the day. My exercise time, Daily time spent with god for poojs & shloka reciting and evening time for Table Tennis.

But the most favorite of all is my morning time for cycling. When I start my long route at 7.00 am in the morning and cross the city limits, I am with me and with Nature. Such a beautiful and scenic route. There are vineyards and paddy fields and the birds chirping on the trees. You just forget everything and flow with the Nature. Farmers busy in some work in their farms and you just watch them peacefully.

It is Me Time and best time to introspect or plan the day ahead. I am in my best mood this time and full of energy. The traffic on the road is minimal and you can safely ride the bike. The language of silence is the best to interact with self. It’s a exercise coupled with mindfulness for me. This is the time I can resolve many conflicts in my mind or even the struggle within on any opinion or thought. It’s a real refreshing time for me.

Sometimes I am accompanied by my friend or daughter. Then, it is time to connect & communicate with dear ones.

On Sunday, my morning time is spent with the plants. Even during plant care, I experience the same feeling of joy and connection with Nature. The plants actually communicate with me, when I am with them. I feel as if they are saying Thank You to me for the care I take.

Thank you for stopping by and reading my blog.

Stay Happy and keep smiling

  1. Your description of my routine as a “moving meditation” and a perfect example of mindfulness is spot on. It truly is a gift to find joy in these simple moments and connect with nature, and I’m happy to have shared it with you. Thinking of buying a cycle now 🤩🥰
