Om chanting and gardening brings me joy

Describe one habit that brings you joy.

Happiness is like the sunshine on a bright day, while joy is like the warmth that lingers even after the sun has set. Happiness is often a response to positive external stimuli, whereas joy is a deeper, more enduring state of being that can be cultivated through inner work and connection with oneself and others.

I could list out three habits which brings joy in my life.

  1. Daily reciting of my stotra during pooja. Normally before breakfast, I perform Pooja ( worship god ) for about half an hour. And during this period I recite the different verses praising the god. Starts with Lord Ganesha then Lord Hanuman and then Lord Ram. When I recite these shlokas, it is a kind of meditation for me. Particularly the Ramraksha Stotra gives me inner peace and joy. It is fulfilling and peaceful feeling. It gives me full days energy of positivity and confidence to face any uncertainty.
  2. Another joyful moment for me is watching the plants grow. They respond to your love and care and express their gratitude when you are around. Feeling of recreation, feeling of giving life to someone. Even gardening is the most satisfying activity.
  3. Third and important joyful activity is meditation. When I close my eyes and chant Om 🕉️ it is just a blissful experience. It is divine feeling. Normally after my daily workout cycling or Gym I cool down with few pranayama and end with Om chanting.

Most joyful moment for me is when I finish my Om chanting and continue the stillness for few seconds. These few moments give me a feeling of peace and joy for the day. This is divine feeling and connection with the supreme. Difficult to express in words. It is to be experienced. This divine experience lingers for days together, only remembrance of that moment gives me the feeling of joy and peace.
