Random Act of Kindness

Write about a random act of kindness you’ve done for someone.

Kindness is the basic value of humanity. Unfortunately it is slowly diminishing. I strongly believe in treating humans as humans and the way to treat them as humans is showing kindness.

This the last month story, when I was in the hospital for my routine check up. I was standing in the queue for registration. After few minutes I heard the boy on the reception desk was telling the man in the queue that he has to pay the fees and then he will be registered. I was curious to know what happened. The man was pleading him that he does not have money but his son needs immediate medical help. But the boy at the reception did not listen. This went on for few seconds.

Then I intervened and told the receptionist that please register his name and release him quickly for the treatment. I will pay his bills. The boy asked, do you know him. He won’t return your money. I said don’t worry, I will pay his bill. Then the boy registered his name. The man came to me with folded hand and said, I will try to pay back your money, give me your details.

I told him, please get your son treated immediately and no need to return the money back. Remember

Keep this chain of kindness going. Never break this chain. This will create a ripple effect and the whole world will be kind.

The man promised me keep the chain of kindness act going. I could inspire one person to be kind and hope he inspires others.
