What an eventful day

Was today typical?

Today was an eventful day for me and not a typical day. Typical day means the routine as usual nothing out of the way happens.

I got up in the morning and as usual straight went to my terrace garden and said hello to all my plants. Looked at the weather and realised that the sky looks cloudy but not raining. Then I decided to go for cycling. After morning routine I went for cycling on the 27.6 km route since the weather was awesome I enjoyed the ride. While returning half way through the rain started and I was still cycling. And then I realised that my cycle tyre is flat. I looked for the repair shop but none was open yet. I was fully drenched in rain and walking along with punctured tyres. Then I decided to hire an Autorickshaw and reached home with my bike.

Upon reaching home it was time for taking a shower. Normally I get hot water from Solar water heater but it does not work in rainy season. So switched on my Geyser and waited for the water to get hot. But realised after few minutes that the geyser is broken down and the water is not getting hot. Then I have to take cold water shower. Luckily it was not too cold but I enjoyed the shower as a change.

Till afternoon post lunch the day was normal and I thanked god. I had booked a taxi for my travel to Pune. As planned we left my place late afternoon and headed towards the destination. On the way another issue propped up. When we took a pit stop for Tea, the driver forgot the car keys inside the car and the car got locked automatically. This was rare incident but happened with me and on an eventful day. Then we tried calling a mechanic but could not get one. Finally one boy who was mending his cows helped us to break the glass and then open the car doors. As a result I reached my destination in late night. My guest house fellow said that the dinner is over and I can only serve you a cup of coffee.

The day ended with hot cup of coffee and few biscuits.

When I lied down on the bed, I said finally I will have peaceful sleep. What an eventful day it was.

Such eventful days highlight the importance of a typical day.
