What foods would you like to make?

In Marathi there is saying “अन्न तारी अन्न मारी अन्न नाना विकारी” this means food has multiple effects on our body – it can save you, it can kill you if consumed in excess or wrongly. Food you consume has great importance on our lives. Recently Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has published an article that says 56% decease today are caused by the food we eat. This statistics is threatening and underlined the impact of food on our health.
The food also has large impact on our personality. Generally the people who consume hot and spicy food have aggressive tendencies and people who consume Satvik food are balanced and composed.
India has rich tradition of foods. Every region has its own unique food culture and traditions. The local food varieties use locally grown ingredients and spices. These local ingredients act as a medicine.
I like simple food like dal & rice, roti & curry or simply Masala Khichadi. Normally I cook on weekends. The dishes I prepare I liked by everyone in the family. My specialty is Masala Khichadi. It is simple to prepare and healthy too. Good balance of Protein and Carbs.
