Trek with a saviour dog

Dogs or cats?

This is a story of our memorable trek to a nearby mountain. This mountain is moderately difficult grade. And not so much popular amongst the regular trekkers.

We have planned our trek to this fort because it was in full bloom of wild flowers. The mountain was completely covered with beautiful blue & red flowers. We were four of us together for the trek. This was our first trek to this mountain. Normally we take local guide along with us but this time he was not available. So we were trekking on our own.

We started the trek early morning, the Weather was so beautiful that we were all excited. After some time we realised that we are accompanied by a stray dog. He was continuously walking and climbing with us. We were not dog lovers but amazed with the way he was accompanying us.

To our surprise he used to wait for us on the difficult climb as if he is suggesting us to be careful.

Then two times so happened that the dog turned left and we were going towards right side. But he started making noise and trying to call us that side. We then followed the dog and reached the top safely. The group we met at the top informed us that the turn we were taking when dog stopped us was dangerous and unsafe.

So the dog was our saviour. And since then I have very high opinion about the dog’s loyalty. Then we shared our lunch with our saviour dog.

Actually I don’t have any pet and have no preference for either dog or cat.
