What are you most excited about for the future?

I am excited about marriage of my younger daughter. It will happen after few years may be three years from now.
The Big Fat Indian wedding is a multifaceted phenomenon that reflects both the vibrant traditions and evolving socio economic landscape of India.
Big Fat Indian Wedding” refers to the extravagant and elaborate nature of Indian weddings, often characterized by multiple days of festivities, large guest lists, and high spending. These weddings are a significant cultural and economic event in India, impacting various industries and reflecting societal values.
Key Characteristics:
- Multiple Days of Festivities:Indian weddings typically involve various pre-wedding, wedding, and post-wedding ceremonies, often spanning several days.
- Grandeur and Opulence:The celebrations often feature elaborate decorations, designer clothing, lavish food, and entertainment.
- Significant Spending:Indian couples and their families often allocate substantial budgets for weddings, sometimes exceeding their annual income.
- Economic Impact:The wedding industry is a major contributor to the Indian economy, impacting sectors like jewelry, apparel, catering, hospitality, and more.
- Social Significance:Weddings are not just personal events but also social gatherings, with families often inviting hundreds or even thousands of guests.
Trends and Evolution:
- Personalization:Modern Indian weddings are increasingly focused on personalization, with couples incorporating unique themes, customized elements, and tailored experiences to reflect their personalities and stories.
- Destination Weddings:There’s a growing trend of destination weddings, where couples choose exotic or scenic locations for their celebrations.
- Luxury and Technology:Luxury brands are actively involved in the wedding market, and technology is being used to enhance the wedding experience, from online invitations to live streaming.
- Sustainability:As awareness of environmental impact grows, there’s a push towards more sustainable and eco-friendly wedding practices.
As such, I have to prepare a lot for the marriage. The trends are changing even for the Bride or Groom selection. In early days it was done by the parents and later in my generation it was arranged by parents and approved by boy or a girl.
Today the marriage is fixed by Girl and Boy and then parents are involved. But still the big celebration remains.
Thanks for stopping by my readers. Have a great day ahead and keep smiling 😊
