What makes a teacher great?

In my opinion, every teacher is a great teacher. It is a noble profession and they are building the future of the country. Every child has greatest impact of the lessons taught by their teacher.

However few teachers act as mentors for their students. And these teachers are most popular among the students.

Mentors

Mentors are the ones, who connect with their students emotionally so that they can guide their mentee through the challenges of life. They teach more than their subjects. Mentors guide and help students to achieve greater success in their lives.

I have come across few teachers who are highly knowledgeable in the subject and they are willing to go extra mile, to give more knowledge and understanding of the subject to their students.

In India, teachers are engaged in all the official activities or government activities like election etc. This is unfortunate and has adverse impacts on the education. In spite of all these factors, teachers focus on the education and support their students.

Teachers has major role in shaping the students personality and their overall behaviour.

Teachers generally get high respect in the society. Right from uneducated people to highly educated people, everyone has high respect for the teachers.
