How do you practice self-care?

Self care is the most important thing in life. More so post retirement, you have to be focusing on the required exercise routine, diet and social connect.

The love towards workout must be inculcated during childhood itself. In my opinion it should be associated with fun. For example outdoor sports like football or Tennis or even badminton or table tennis are the best options. If you’re enjoying any of the above sports , you will have exercise coupled with fun.

Strength Cardio & Flexibility

Your exercise routine must include the workout routine for Muscle strength, cardio strength and Flexibility exercises. These three steps are essential for fitness. I do cycling as a cardio workout then weights for muscle strength and yoga for flexibility. This is spread over a week.

Second most important thing after workout is the diet. You should eat homemade healthy food. Which contains required nutrients, vitamins and proteins. Like leafy vegetables, pulses and millet.

Third pillar for self care is Adhyatma. In my opinion adhyatma means your thought process. You should think spiritually. It is not associated with any religion or faith but related to humanity.

All these self care routines will make you a better human being.
