Life was Fun n Joy

Do you remember life before the internet?

I am born in 60s, so I very well remember the life before Internet. It was fun and joy. There was struggle but no peer pressure. My childhood was really fun n joy. Lots of learning from the ground. Experience the world yourself with friends and learn. Ou parents were busy with their family responsibilities and they never had that much time and energy to look at us.

We were fully busy with our studies and outdoor games. There was no social media and everyone was joining us for the outdoor games.

In our housing society, there used to be family gatherings on various occasions. We used to participate and enjoy the cultural programs.

Due to absence of ready made information, we used to struggle with books and magazines to find out the information. Collaboration and networking was essential quality for self development that time.

Bullying and trolling was unknown in our times. So education was really fun during that time.

However there are some things we missed due to unavailability of Internet. Getting information on important topics was difficult and sometimes frustrating. The information was available only in print form and reading so many books/magazines was extremely difficult. This resulted in limited opportunities for us due to limited knowledge.

There are pros and cons of Internet. It’s like any other invention, use it with caution and get the benefit.

Today we are physically connected but emotionally disconnected.
