Unforgettable camping night

Have you ever been camping?

I still remember that adventurous night. We were camping on Harishchandra gad ( fort ) . This is very popular fort for camping. The trek was started late afternoon by around 2.00 pm and we reached the peak by around 6.15 pm. We were group of some 12 friends. We used to trek biweekly one fort close to my city.

We reached the campsite just before sunset and reached the sunset point. I was spellbound by looking at the sky. The large orange ball was moving down slowly and the background was big canvas beautifully painted in orange yellow and blue. The view was simply mesmerising. I forgot to click the picture and lost myself into nature’s festival of colours.

The sky post sunset looks amazing. It is called as blue hour in photographic terms. It is the best light to capture the landscapes.

The real adventure started after the sunset. We started cooking dinner for the group. It was really fun preparing some food items in limited resources available. Somehow we managed to make few items and enjoyed the dinner under the moonlight. The food was tasting delicious and the experience was unforgettable. We had lots of fun and enjoyed the atmosphere.

And then the campfire started. As the fort was not at all crowded and we were the only group on the top of the fort, few friends were scared. And we started discussing ghost stories. There was complete darkness and silence but we were accompanied by cool breeze and some night insect noise. We were all enjoying the camping.

Suddenly the weather changed and the wind started blowing with fearful noise. We were all shit scared and immediately ran into our tents. And then the rain started with thunderstorms. Everyone was into the tent worried what to do next. But in half an hour the rain stopped and the sky was clear again.

With that experience of horror we went to sleep. But due to the tiring ascend and good food everyone was fast asleep. Next day morning was again heavenly experience. The sunrise was equally beautiful. The fort is famous for the sunset and sunrise views. There is a place on the fort where there is valley below and the rising sun looks so beautiful that you can’t even imagine.

Then after the breakfast we started our descent and then the drive to our home. But the experience was unforgettable.

Camping is always fun and adventure together. You have to come out of your comfort and stay with the nature.

Have great day ahead and enjoy ☺️
