Jaikwadi Bird Sanctuary

We visited Sonewadi Point of Jaikwadi Bird Sanctuary. It is some 65 km from Sambhajinagar ( Aurangabad). I got the news that Greater Flamingos have arrived here so we visited this place for bird photography. We could see following birds here.

Location

Sonewadi point is a location within the Jaikwadi Bird Sanctuary, a Ramsar site near Paithan Maharashtra which is known for attracting migratory birds.

Ramsar site

This sanctuary is a Ramsar site meaning it’s internationally recognised for its wetland importance and is a crucial habitat for migratory birds.

Migratory birds

The sanctuary attracts large numbers of migratory birds including Flamingos, Erasion Wigeon, Barn swallows and many more duck varieties.

Plant Species

The sanctuary contains many plant species including Babhul, Tamarind, Neem, Pangara , Mango and Eucalyptus.

Local Guide

You get local guide for the perfect spot for photography. Once you reach the sonewadi point he joins you on the way.
