Carefree and playful

When you were five, what did you want to be when you grew up?

Our childhood was very much playful and fun. We were completely carefree. There was no thought of career or future.

Even my parents were not so much keen about children future goals. So no parental pressure no societal stress or any kind of compulsions.

Life was study eat and play. It was only at the age of 10 years I chose technical as my optional subject because I liked to work in workshops. And the final career option I chose was to be an Engineer at the age of 10years.

In our childhood time only two career goals were popular or known – Engineer & Doctor. I was always interested to be an engineer. My understanding that time was engineers are nation builders and they really work on intense technical issues. It may sound funny now but it is true.

There was no resistance or force from parents. In fact they welcomed my decision and encouraged me to pursue my dream to be an engineer. I was the first person to be an engineer in our family.

Yaa That innocent childhood…..

Have a great day and keep smiling 😊
