My father – Simple living high thinking

Describe a family member.

My father was truly a simple man. With all the financial problems he ensured that we are well educated and the family is taken care of all the necessities.

He was living example of Discipline, Hard work and empathy. He lived with his principles un compromised. He never scolded us in our childhood but we were his obedient children. For him education was top most priority. He nurtured the ambition of higher education amongst us. He was well read and often curious to learn new things even at the age of 78 years.

I still remember one incident which taught me life lesson :

I purchased few grocery items from shop and came home. Handed over the items to my mom and returned the change to my dad. Upon seeing the change he said you got extra money back and paid less to the shopkeeper. I was happy to hear this but immediately he told me to return the money to shopkeeper. When I asked why, he explained to me : this change is given to you by the employee working in the shop and when the owner will realise the shortage of cash he will deduct it from the employees salary and that poor person will suffer. Never take such extra money and make poor suffer.

I realised my mistake and learnt the lesson for life.

I think this is upbringing with high morale.
